Abstract
Rhodium complexes bearing a pincer-type ligand containing nickel were successfully synthesized. Through single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses and theoretical calculations, the electronic structures of the bimetallic complexes were elucidated. Notably, this represents the inaugural synthesis of a bimetallic complex featuring a distinct nickel–rhodium bond. The reactivity of these synthesized complexes was probed through catalytic arene C–H borylation reactions.
